Program Description
Comanche Elementary is fortunate to have a Reading Interventionist teacher is part of our Multi Layer Support Systems. The Cub Academy assists students in reaching grade level expectations for reading and mathematics. As part of our ongoing support, short cycle assessments are taken by students regularly. The classroom teacher, Reading Interventionist, and Mathematics Interventionist will determine which children will receive additional supports as identified by assessment outcomes and student needs. These students will receive extra support from both their classroom teacher and Reading Interventionist and/ or Mathematics Interventionist. Interventions provided are scientific, research based reading and mathematics interventions. Student progress will be shared with classroom teachers and families.
